Boston 25 Weather

Bitter Cold Sticking Around

RECORD WINTER STORM

What a storm! New England is digging out after a major winter system that dropped historic snowfall across the region. Boston officially picked up 23.2″, making this the 8th-highest snowstorm total on record, while Worcester wasn’t far behind with 22.4″, the 9th-highest storm total there.

A few snow showers around tonight, some of which may drop a quick coating and lower visibilities briefly. Otherwise, we’ll remain partly cloudy with temps plummeting into the single digits overnight, a few of the traditionally colder spots dropping below 0. Windchills will be mostly below 0 by Wednesday morning across the board, so bundle up!

COLD AIR IS GOING NOWHERE

That winter chill sticks around for much of the week ahead. Expect highs mainly in the 20s with cold mornings in the single digits, a few cities and towns below 0, especially Thursday night/Friday morning and again Friday night/Saturday morning.

We’re also keeping an eye on the next potential storm. A system arriving this weekend could develop into a nor’easter by Sunday, bringing the chance for snow, gusty winds, and possible coastal concerns. It’s too early to lock in details, but it’s definitely something we’ll be watching closely over the next few days.

Stay warm, and we’ll keep you updated.
