Tractor-trailer carrying Fireball Cinnamon Whisky rolls over in Westborough

A tractor-trailer carrying Fireball Cinnamon Whisky rolled over in Westborough, causing lane closures on I-495.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation tweeted about the crash Thursday, saying all lanes were closed on I-495 southbound after the truck crash, causing cargo to spill out of the truck just before Exit 23A for Route 9.

The department said it took several hours to clean up the mess, and Massachusetts State Police tweeted that minor injuries were reported.

Sky25 was over the scene as crews dealt with the crash, moving the shipment of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky out of the rolled over truck and into a separate crate.

Traffic was diverted to Route 9 in the area, and the Westborough Fire Department later tweeted that one lane on the southbound side of the highway was open.

On Friday morning, another rollover hauling cases of alcohol: a tractor-trailer carrying cases of Corona Extra beer rolled over in Newton, spilling onto the side of the road.
