BOSTON — Just a few days after calling Donald Trump a role model for her children, then backtracking on that statement, New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte is condemning the Republican presidential nominee.
"I wanted to be able to support my Party's nominee," Sen. Ayotte tweeted Saturday morning. "However...I will not be voting for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton...on election day."
Instead, the Senator says she plans to write-in Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Trump's running mate.
Monday night, during her debate with challenger, Sen. Ayotte was asked if children should look at Trump as a role model and she said absolutely. However, she quickly backtracked and tweeted a statement saying she would not.
