MARBLEHEAD, Mass. — A disturbed grave site at Harbor View Cemetery has prompted an investigation by Marblehead Police.
The department told Boston 25 News a passerby found a ‘significantly disturbed’ area around a grave site in the cemetery Tuesday morning.
Police say it’s unclear if this was part of an attempt to dig up the grave. The grave is very old and police said they aren’t sure if there’s even a body buried there.
Marblehead police are asking anyone who may have seen something to call them.
