Man rushed to hospital after possible drowning at Quincy YMCA

QUINCY, Mass. — One person was rushed to the hospital after reports of a possible drowning at the Quincy YMCA, according to Brewster Ambulance.

The ambulance company told Boston 25 News one of its vehicles was dispatched to the YMCA for a report of a possible drowning.

Brewster also said an adult male was taken to the hospital suffering complications from drowning.

Police are calling it a medical incident.

A representative of YMCA sent Boston 25 News the following statement:

Recognizing an adult member in need of emergency assistance this morning, the Quincy YMCA Lifeguard staff pulled an adult male from the Quincy YMCA pool. Police and fire were also on scene. The member has been transported to the hospital for further treatment. To respect the member’s privacy, no further information will be released at this time.
