SUV catches fire after crashing into Lawrence storefront

LAWRENCE, Mass. — An SUV caught on fire after crashing into a storefront in Lawrence early Tuesday morning.

The front of a salon on Broadway and the vehicle were both significantly damaged from the single-vehicle crash.

The vehicle caught fire but was quickly extinguished by the Lawrence Fire Department.

The driver was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after crews treated him on the scene.

The driver is being charged with Unlicensed Operation.
