Dangerous wind chills return after nor'easter moves through

Wind chills are expected to make already sub-zero temperatures feel even colder this weekend and Boston 25 StormTracker Meteorologist Sarah Wroblewski says that's a major reason for concern.

Friday night while actual temperatures across the area were in the single digits, wind chills were already 10-15 degrees below zero.

New Hampshire's Mount Washington Observatory is home to some of the coldest temperatures every record in the United States, so cold that the New York Times sent reporters there to observe the weather.

The Times reporters on Mount Washington experienced weather conditions so cold that their eye lashes froze.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect for eastern Mass, including the city of Boston through 10 a.m. Sunday. Dangerously cold wind chills can cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin. Wind chills will range from -10 to -25.

A WIND CHILL WARNING is in effect for central and western Mass through 10 AM Sunday. Wind chills are expected to range between -15 and -30. It will only take 10 minutes for frostbite in those type of conditions.
