SLICK TRAVEL AT TIMES
We had some light snow overnight, so take it slow early this morning—there may still be a few slick spots on untreated roads and sidewalks. Overall, today is pretty quiet. It’ll be dry for most of the day, cloudy, and on the cool side with highs in the mid-30s.
Our next storm moves in tonight, just in time to impact the tail end of the evening commute. Expect a mix of rain and freezing rain, with some slick travel possible overnight and into Wednesday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 PM tonight until 10 AM Wednesday for much of the area (not including southeastern Massachusetts).
The good news: conditions improve Wednesday afternoon as the precipitation moves out. Skies stay mostly cloudy, but we’ll dry out and temperatures rebound toward 40°.
WARMING UP!
Even better news later this week—temperatures climb steadily, reaching close to 50° by Friday. That warmth comes with more wet weather, though, with rain chances Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Right now, it looks like the rain could clear early Sunday, but we’ll be watching closely for any potential impacts to the Patriots game.
