ANOTHER COLD BLAST

Bundle up! Monday’s official high temperature of 36 degrees in Boston happened at midnight. Get set for steady 20s today and wind chills in the singles and teens (gusts 30 mph will linger through early afternoon).

Clear and cold weather will last tonight too. Lows will drop into the single digits in many towns by sunrise Tuesday. We’re expecting highs around 30 degrees - so freezing all day! Clouds will roll in late day and lead to a batch of light snow and flurries overnight.

WEDNESDAY ALERT

Our next Weather Alert is Wednesday. It won’t be a significant event, but there will be a few slick spots.

We’ll have to watch for a dusting on untreated roads before sunrise Wednesday morning. The morning commute itself actually looks dry. Steady precipitation will develop from west to east in the afternoon and will fall as rain in most towns, including Boston. Parts of central and western MA, as well as southern NH will see a mix or snow. Although slush is possible from Worcester to Nashua, the better chance for accumulation will sit across the Monadnocks, Berkshires, Green and White Mountains.
