State Police investigating fatal motorcycle accident on I-95

WOBURN, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police are currently investigating an accident that killed a motorcyclist on Route 95 northbound in Woburn.

Police received multiple calls at around 12:05 a.m. on Tuesday reporting a serious motorcycle accident on I-95 northbound north of Exit 35.

The operator of the motorcycle, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 23-year-old Matthew Carr of Woburn.

As of 3:00 a.m., all lanes except for the high-speed lane were open to traffic while police conducted their investigation.

State Police are currently on scene working to piece together the details of this crash. Officials say they don't know if any other cars were involved in the crash, but if there were others involved they did not stay on scene.

The road has since been reopened and all lanes are open for traffic.

No further details have been released.
