QUINCY, Mass. — Two people were killed in a single-car crash in Quincy, police say.
State Police say it happened at around 10:40 a.m. on the Hancock Street ramp at the Neponset River Bridge. The driver, a 74-year-old Weymouth man traveled off the roadway and over the sidewalk before hitting the bridge abutment under the footbridge.
The driver and his 50-year-old passenger, also from Weymouth, were pronounced dead on scene. Their names have not yet been released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
