SALEM, Mass. — Authorities have identified the victim who was recovered from the water in Salem, the Essex County District Attorney’s Office announced.
The man has been identified as 64-year-old Peter T. Bonacci of Salem. Authorities add that no foul play was suspected.
The incident occurred last Tuesday, July 28, when Salem police were dispatched to the area of Derby Street at Central Wharf to reports of a body floating in the water.
Officers recovered the body, and an investigation ensued.
No further details were released.
