BRIDGEWATER, N.H. — Federal authorities have charged 61-year-old Thomas Gallagher of Bridgewater, New Hampshire in connection with the riots that took place at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Boston FBI Agents arrested Gallagher in New Hampshire, on a warrant out of Washington, D.C.
His charges include knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority or knowingly, with intent to impede government business or official functions, engaging in Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds; and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
He was transported to the Cheshire County Jail where he participated in a Zoom hearing with a Concord, New Hampshire judge magistrate Thursday afternoon.

According to a criminal complaint, Gallagher was one of six people who stormed the Capitol building and refused orders from Capitol Police to leave the property.

Gallagher was released from the New Hampshire jail on condition that he stay away from Washington, DC until his next hearing on Jan. 22.
That condition guarantees Gallagher will not be in Washington, D.C. on Inauguration Day.
