AAA: Winter Weather driving safety tips

Remember winter? The season with snow, sleet, and ice. Well, AAA is sending some safety tips on how to drive in winter weather conditions.

1. Drive slow.

2. Keep a safe distance between you and the car in front of you.

4. Have windshield wiper fluid for clear visibility.

3. Check your tires for the proper tread.

5. Keep jumper cables and deicer in the car.

6. Get your car battery checked out if it’s more than five years old.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of Massachusetts and New Hampshire until 4 a.m. Friday due to snow, sleet, and freezing rain, according to the NWS.
