WASHINGTON — This is the first week college students can apply for financial aid and FAFSA hoping some recent changes will make the process a little easier.
The education department has created a new app called My Student Aid.
It includes all the information you'd find on the FAFSA website -- as well as the forms students need to fill out.
The website also has a new mobile-friendly design that makes it easier to navigate on a smartphone or tablet.
Officials hope the changes will encourage more students to apply for federal aid.
