One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a police chase led to a crash in New Bedford, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
The DA's office said police were chasing a car through Fairhaven until it sped into New Bedford, where the driver allegedly ran a stop sign and crashed into another car.
Janey Murphy, a 68-year-old New Bedford native, died on the way to the hospital after the crash, and another man, 28-year-old New Bedford native Kyle Murphy, is in critical condition.

Police said one of the suspects was found on scene, and said they are still searching for another person who ran away, identified as James Bennet-Werra.
The DA's office said Bennet-Werra has a Superior Court Probation Warrant, as well as a Parole Violation Warrant, and is being sought by police.
