MORE WINTER WEATHER

After a sunny sunrise, clouds will take over this morning. Expect developing snow early afternoon with minor accumulation before a change to rain and freezing rain this evening.

It looks like a very brief wash-away coating in southeastern MA. Closer to Boston, the Mass Pike, and north of that we’re looking at a coating-2″ (up to 3″ at elevations) before the change. Keep in mind, several towns in central and northern MA as well as southern NH will hover around freezing, creating icy travel conditions. During the evening commute and overnight we’re expecting trace up to 0.1″ ice/glaze north and west of I-95.

Showers will move out between 1-4 AM. Some icy and foggy conditions will linger through the morning commute then we clear out and warm up to about 50 degrees!

REWIND REPEAT

More rain and freezing rain is likely Thursday night to Friday morning. Stay turned for the cutoff to icy conditions.

WARMING UP

The pattern will shift this weekend with balmy weather returning. Right now we’re forecasting 40s Saturday, 50s Sunday, and 60 on Monday!
