BOSTON — Monday will be a washout.
According to Boston 25 Meteorologists, we’ll see showers all day, with damaging winds in the afternoon that could bring downed trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are possible.

With most people at home, you should plan ahead. Make sure your devices are fully charged.
“With so many families working remotely and so many students learning remotely, power is essential,” said Reid Lamberty of Eversource. “[Power] has never been more essential than it is now.”
Eversource also told Boston 25 News that response to the storm will likely take longer than normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as workers will have to social distance.
National Grid also notified Boston 25 News that their service response would be slowed down, as crews are unable to work in National Grid’s bucket trucks when winds climb over 35 miles per hour. After the storm has ended, National Grid will first deal with road clearings and emergency calls to 911. Nearly 1,200 employees for National Grid have been activated in New England in preparation for emergency storm response.
