Spring showers with a big temperature swing

UNSETTLED PATTERN CONTINUES

We’re tracking a round of downpours with some thunder and lightning moving through tonight. The heaviest rain will taper off as we head deeper into the overnight hours, but it’ll still be damp by daybreak.

Wednesday starts with clouds and a spot shower, but most of us stay dry. Highs climb into the upper 60s — a noticeable jump from where we’ve been.

Rain makes a comeback Wednesday evening and continues into early Thursday morning. The good news: it clears out before sunrise, so the Thursday morning commute is mainly just cloudy and damp rather than a washout.

Thursday itself is a cooler day with highs back in the 40s. Expect plenty of clouds with some drizzle or an isolated shower around — definitely a different feel compared to Wednesday.

We bounce back nicely on Friday with highs returning to the low 60s. There could be a brief shower around, but right now it’s not looking like a big deal.

We’re also keeping an eye on conditions for the Red Sox Home Opener at Fenway — and at this point, the forecast looks pretty good. Just a small chance of a passing shower, so something to watch, but no major concerns.

WEEKEND IN VIEW

Saturday stays mild with highs in the low 60s under mostly cloudy skies. A late-day isolated shower is possible, but much of the day looks fine.

For Easter Sunday, the day starts mainly dry. If you have morning plans, you’re in good shape. By the afternoon, we’ll be watching our next chance for rain. It’s still a bit early to lock in timing and impacts, but we’ll continue to fine-tune that forecast over the next couple of days.
