Joy Dumandan

Joy Dumandan is an Emmy award-winning journalist who joined Boston 25 News as a general assignment reporter in February 2017.

Prior to her move to Boston, she was a reporter for BoomerTV in Indianapolis, Indiana. The weekly lifestyle show focuses on issues affecting baby boomers.

Joy spent 11 years as the morning news anchor at WISH-TV 8 in Indianapolis. She was involved in team coverage of major events including presidential visits, the Super Bowl in Miami, Indianapolis 500, NCAA March Madness and severe weather.

She started her on-air career as a general assignment reporter at WBRE in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania. Before that, she spent time as an associate producer at CNBC.

Joy also spent over four years as a news update anchor at Fox News Channel in New York City. There she was involved in breaking news coverage including presidential elections and space shuttle missions.

A native of New Jersey, Joy is a graduate of Montclair State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies.

When she's not working, Joy volunteers her time focusing on women's and children's issues.
