Tom Brady reiterates plans to play 'not only next year, but beyond that'

FOXBOROUGH, MA - Tom Brady of the New England Patriots warms up before the game against the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium on December 23, 2018 in Foxborough, Mass.

Those worried about whether or not Tom Brady will return to the Patriots after he turns 42 in August have no need to fear, as long as the quarterback keeps to the goals he has set for himself for next season.

During an interview with Westwood One Sports on Wednesday afternoon, Brady reiterated his plans to return to the field in 2019, while also hoping to stick around even longer than that.

"I absolutely believe I will," Brady said during his interview with Westwood One Sports Wednesday. "I know I've talked about it for a long time. I have goals to play not only next year, but beyond that. I'm going to try to do as best I possibly can."

"I feel great, I feel 100 percent," Brady said Sunday after the game.

Brady has thrown for 4,105 yards in 2018, with 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions on his stat line for the year through 16 games.
