FOXBORO — The Patriots made a number of moves Saturday, acquiring players from other NFL teams via trade while trimming to active roster to 53 players.
Cassius Marsh has been acquired for an undisclosed draft pick. The 25-year-old defensive end played 37 games with Seattle, posting 40 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Last year he played in all 16 regular season games for the Seahawks.
The Patriots also traded another undisclosed future draft pick to the Lions for special teamer and CB Johnson Bademosi.
Bedemosi has played professionally since 2012, leading the Browns in special teams tackles during his four seasons in Cleveland.
The headliner of Saturday's action was the trade of Jacoby Brissett to Indianapolis in exchange for WE Phillip Dorsett.
