HOUSTON — It may technically be home to the Texans, but Patriots Nation has taken up a settlement in the Lone Star State.
The official Patriots fan club of Houston started in 2006 with just six members. Now, their numbers have skyrocketed into the hundreds.
"We're just pure, simple, fun-loving people," one fan told FOX25. The fans get together to watch every game.
While some members come from other areas of the country and even the world, most are New England transplants who aren't ready to give up their Patriots pride. The only requirement to join the club is a passion for the Patriots.
The group doesn't only get together to have fun -- they also like to give back. They have raised thousands of dollars for organizations such as the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, the Myra Kraft Fund and Best Buddies of Texas, all organizations near and dear to the Patriots hearts.
