WOBURN — Middleboro, who began the postseason as the fifth seed in Division 6's southern section, continued their playoff run Friday night with a 27-14 win over Stoneham.
It took 16 seconds for the Sachems to get on the board Friday night, with Jeremy Soule running 76 yards to open the scoring.
Gwozdz's 6-yard touchdown run made it 27-14, a lead the Sachems protected through the fourth quarter.
Another 12-yard TD from Soule shortly after put Middleboro on top 14-0, a score that stuck through the first half.
Stoneham broke through in the third quarter, as Tre Pignone caught a 6-yard TD pass from Jack McCabe. A two-point conversion made it 14-8 with 7:03 to play in the third quarter.
Evan Gwozdz's 47-yard TD connection to Colin O'Brien gave Middleboro a 21-8 lead, but Seth Russell drew the Spartans within seven with a 5-yard touchdown run.
Middleboro will face Littleton in the Division 6 Super Bowl.
