BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1985 Cotton Bowl victory and Doug Flutie’s famous Hail Mary pass the Boston College Eagles will wear throwback jerseys when they play at Fenway Park this season.
The BC vs Notre Dame game is set for Nov. 21 at the home of the Boston Red Sox.
The Eagles players will wear uniforms inspired by the 1985 season.
BC's throwback jerseys include numbers drawn to mimic the font worn during the 1984 season and a base layer with a stripe that is exact same as the one the Hail Mary and Cotton Bowl uniforms. Vintage BC logos mimic the placement of the Cotton Bowl logos and the gold color pants are designed to be the same color as the ones worn by the Eagles in the late 80s. The 2015 team will also don solid gold helmets for the game against the Fighting Irish.
