Garden Tips with Weston Nurseries: Cold Season Vegetables

Early May is the time to plant out your cold season vegetables, like brussel sprouts, broccoli, some lettuces, spinaches, herbs, and chard.  Peter Mezitt, President of Weston Nurseries, suggests waiting a little bit longer to plant the plant form of your warm season vegetable. The warm season vegetables really won’t start growing until overnight temperatures are close to 60 degrees. It’s okay to buy them now, but be patient!
