BOSTON — A man is in the hospital with what Boston Police describe as serious injuries after falling off scaffolding at the Boston Marriott Hotel.
The man was hanging a banner inside the hotel around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when he fell two stories to the floor.
"People were just gathering around to see what was going on and there was a bunch of officers securing the area," Dovi Bedziner, a hotel guest, said.
Police said the man is in his 20s and they do not believe his injuries are life-threatening.
"It’s pretty shocking to see something especially a place of business where people are working and to see something happen like that. It’s just unfortunate," Bedziner said.
The hotel did not want to comment, saying the incident was a police investigation. It's unclear if the man was a hotel employee.
