WORCESTER, Mass. — Another Massachusetts city is putting itself in the running for Amazon's new headquarters.
Worcester officials tell the Telegram they're working with the state to submit a proposal to the internet giant.
Earlier this month, Amazon announced it was taking applications for a place to build its second headquarters.

City officials say they don't meet the minimum requirements set out by the company, but are hoping to be considered alongside Boston.

They say the number of colleges between the cities would give the company a good place to search for talent.
Seattle-based Amazon is planning to spend more than $5 billion on its new space. The giant says it wants the new headquarters to be near a metropolitan area with more than one million people, be able to attract top technical talent, be within 45 minutes of an international airport, have direct access to mass transit and be able to expand to as much as 8 million square feet in the next decade.
Amazon says it will make a decision next year.
