BOSTON -- Police say a woman has been rushed to the hospital after a dog attack in Roxbury.
A large police presence is visible on Eustis Street along with yellow caution tape.
The woman's injuries were not life-threatening and she was released from the hospital Wednesday evening.
Police said an officer did shoot the dog, but the dog is still alive and in custody of animal control.
“I’m standing on the steps and the lady across the street opened the door and the dog just came right out and bit me,” she said.
According to the Boston Police Department, an officer was in the area when the attack happened. This is just one door down from where two people were shot Tuesday night.
