NEWTON, Mass. — A woman was struck by an inbound Green Line train on the D branch Saturday night in Newton, according to a release from Transit Police. That victim, who police say is about 40 years old, has been transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The incident occurred around the Newton Center MBTA station around 7:45 p.m. Transit Police are investigating.
