BOSTON — One person has died after being struck by a train on Thursday afternoon.
Transit police say around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, a female was hit by an Orange Line train at Ruggles station.
Police have not released the woman’s name or age.
Officials say this is an active situation.
Shuttle buses replaced Orange Line service between Jackson Square and Back Bay.
Just before 4 p.m., MBTA tweeted that Orange Line service had resumed.
No additional information was available.
