WESTFIELD, Mass. — A lockdown has been lifted on the Westfield State University Campus Monday afternoon after a report of a suspicious person was deemed unfounded.
Campus was placed on lockdown after a report of suspicious person. State police could not initially confirm, but police on campus said they were looking for someone described as a white male with a trench coat. About an hour after the lockdown was announced, it was lifted. State police say the threat was unfounded.
Normal operations have resumed.
