Wellesley HS graduate among 2 killed in North End crash

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A local community is mourning after learning a crash in Boston killed two people, including at least one graduate of Wellesley High School.

Wellesley school officials notified the community of the death, and Penn State identified one of the victims as Connor Darcey, a lacrosse player set to graduate in 2016.

"Our hearts go out to Connor Darcey's family, teammates, friends and everyone who knew him. It's a very sad day. The Penn State family has suffered a tremendous loss and we are deeply saddened," a statement on the Penn State Athletics website said.

"I just know he left a big imprint on the school," one student said.

Police say the BMW convertible apparently went out of control and rolled over on Commercial Street at about 2:45 a.m. Friday.

Wellesley school leaders say a third person was in the car at the time of the crash. That person has also been identified as a graduate of Wellesley High School.

“Please join me in extending your thoughts, prayers, and support to the families of all of the victims,” Wellesley Superintendent David Lussier said.

The other person killed in the crash has not been identified.

Loved ones are still working on funeral arrangements for Darcy.
