WATCH: Truck demolishes NH toll booth

DOVER, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Drivers ran into massive delays on a highway in Dover, N.H. Thursday after a truck demolished a toll booth.

SkyFOX flew over the scene where a tractor trailer slammed into a toll booth on the Spaulding Turnpike. The toll booth was completely demolished and the truck landed about 50 yards from the booth, the rubber on the front tires blew completely off the wheels.

The truck also hit a dark Lexus and totaled it. John Worley, 69, was driving that car and our Jarrod Holbrook showed him the toll both video.

"I'm just glad to be alive," he said. "You should of see it from the rear view mirror."

Worley says he was going through the easy pass lane when he looked up at his mirror and realized the truck wasn't going to stop.

"Ya hear a bang and I believe the car went up in the air and then turned and came down and wedged between the toll booth and cement," he said.

New Hampshire State Troopers say it appears the driver of the 18 wheeler suffered a medical condition. Roland Joy, 47, has a clean driving record and was hauling gravel at the time. Both Joy and Worley were rushed to the hospital.

Worley says he suffers head trauma, a busted up hand, and a severe shoulder injury. He says he doesn't hold a grudge when it comes to the truck driver.

"Honestly, look, I'm glad he's OK if it's a DUI situation I would probably have a different vocabulary that I would be using right now," he said.

Troopers say there was no toll worker in the booth nearby. And that drugs, alcohol and speed were not factors. It's being ruled a medical accident for now.
