BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A teen was arrested after MBTA officials say he was caught "train surfing" on surveillance video.
We first told you about the train surfing problem back in the fall when a teen got on top of an Orange line train and did a hand stand while it was moving. Transit police say one of the teens involved in that incident was also part of this most recent one.
Eighteen-year-old Jonathon Lopez was seen grabbing hold of a departing train's roof guard and lifting his feet in the air. The footage was taken at Back Bay station around 8:15 p.m. on Monday.
Lopez was arrested on Tuesday for train surfing and disorderly conduct.
"Let me be clear, this is not kids being kids. This is extremely dangerous and criminal behavior," one officer said.
The charge is now a misdemeanor, but transit police are looking to change that.
