CASTLE ISLAND, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Massachusetts State Police executed a controlled detonation of a canon ball on Thursday afternoon.
The canon ball was found by a fisherman nearby on Castle Island earlier Thursday morning.
The MSP bomb squad consulted with the U.S. Navy before detonating.
