ROSLINDALE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The victim of a hit-and-run remains unconscious in the ICU of Brigham and Women's Hospital while the driver that hit him remains at large.
James Graham, 23, is dealing with a slew of injuries, including a collapsed lung, a swollen brain, broken ribs, a broken leg, broken arm, liver damage and some other internal damage. On the Thursday night of Memorial Day Weekend, James went out to buy cigarettes and was hit in a crosswalk on Washington Street.
James was thrown from the road into a parking lot. The force was so great that it knocked his sneakers off of him. The driver involved took off.
The vehicle police are looking for is a 2005 or 2006 white Infiniti G35 with a sun roof, blue headlights and possible front end damage.
James' father doesn't think James even knew what hit him. So far, James hasn't been able to blink or squeeze his father's hand.
Doctors are telling the family they'll likely keep James in a coma for the next few weeks until the swelling goes down. Until then, they can't perform any surgeries.
The family says they're trying to stay strong, but says that they would have greater strength if police could make an arrest. They're making a public appeal for the driver to come forward.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses.
