Valet says Hernandez had what appeared to be a gun outside hotel

FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com / AP) - A valet manager at a Boston hotel has testified at Aaron Hernandez's murder trial that he saw what he believed to be a gun tucked in the former NFL player's waistband two nights before the killing.

Samson Michael testified Tuesday that he saw Hernandez outside the W Hotel at around 1:30 am. June 15, two days before Odin Lloyd was shot to death at an industrial park near Hernandez's home.

Michael says Hernandez had left a black SUV at the W's valet service and had come back to get something. Michael says he saw a black object he thought was a gun tucked into Hernandez's waistband as he lifted up his shirt.

Hernandez's lawyer questioned how clear his view was through an SUV window.

During opening statements in the trial, the prosecution suggested Hernandez tried to kill Lloyd that Friday night but got swarmed by fans and put his gun away.
