Coaches and players are typically the most likely candidates to be thrown out of a baseball game. Things can get pretty heated during an argument about balls and strikes or over a close play.
It's not often that you seen a stadium organist/PA announcer get the boot. But that's exactly what happened in a Florida State League baseball game between the Daytona Cubs and the Fort Myers Miracle on Wednesday.
Music Man Derek Dye played "Three Blind Mice" which, as we understand after watching the video, is exactly the right thing to play if you want to get kicked out of a baseball game.
Upon hearing the tune, the umpire turned around, gave the trademark hand motion and yelled "you're outta here."
At first, the play-by-play announcers seemed to think the umpire had thrown a coach out. Then they realized it was the PA announce/organist.
"Wow, Derek Dye was just ejected from the game," said the announcer. "That is awesome, that is absolutely awesome."
The crowd proceeded to boo the umpire for the next few minutes after the call. It was reported that the organist left the park, leaving the announcements to the audience.
