And there could be more dorms in the works behind this project.
In a statement, the Archdiocese of Boston said in part "The Cardinal sees a vital role for St. Christopher’s that includes campus ministry and is distinctive enough to maintain the parish in its current location."
A spokesperson for the school said they have not yet been approached by the archdiocese.
For now, they're focusing on opening the dorms under construction for the Fall 2018 semester.
FULL STATEMENT:
"It is very early in our review process and any change in use of the property will require much consultation in the archdiocese, with the city and other parties. Without question, St. Christopher parish will continue in serving the surrounding Catholic community. The Cardinal sees a vital role for St. Christopher's that includes campus ministry and is distinctive enough to maintain the parish in its current location."
