BOSTON — There are now more options for passengers leaving Boston Logan with the introduction of UberX and Lyft.
While any Uber or Lyft was allowed to drop anyone off, only licensed chauffeurs who also drive for Uber were allowed to pick passengers up. Lyft wasn't allowed to pick any passengers up at the Logan.
Both Uber and Lyft reached an agreement with MassPort to allow the pickups.
"Lyft has consistently supported and implemented high safety standards, and we are pleased that we can now offer affordable rides directly from Logan Airport," said Lyft Spokesperson Adrian Durbin.
For those using Uber, there is a specific AppRide/TNC pickup area at each terminal.
