Uber driver accused of assaulting, robbing disabled passenger

MALDEN, Mass. — An Uber driver has been arrested after allegedly assaulting and robbing the disabled woman he was picking up.

The passenger told police she trusted her driver, Wilson Brea, because she had used him in the past when he worked for a different company.

Brea showed up at the woman’s house in Malden and asked if he could use her bathroom.

“The defendant said ‘sorry I'm going to have to take this.’ He grabbed her hand bag and a bag of medicine that she had sitting on the bed. Once he tried to leave the victim try to stop him stop him. He then pushed her,” the prosecutor said.

Brea was held on $500 cash bail.
