Two more board directors leaving Wynn Resorts

LAS VEGAS — Two members of the Wynn Resorts Board of Directors announced their departures Monday.

Director John. J Hagenbuch decided not to stand for re-election to the board, and Director Robert J. Miller tendered his resignation, Wynn Resorts said in a release.

With the two leaving, combined with Steve Wynn, Ray Irani, Ted Virtue leaving and Alvin Shoemaker's pending resignation, 60 percent of the Board of Directors from the beginning of the year are now leaving the company.

"I commend Jay and Bob for their strong stewardship on the Board and for always putting the best interests of the Company and its shareholders first," Pat Mulroy, Chair of the board's Special Committee, said in the release.

"Jay was a superb Chairman of the Audit Committee and an invaluable member of the Special Committee – his wisdom, thoughtfulness and commitment to an objective process will be sorely missed.  Bob, as the longest serving director of this Company, added incredible value to our process and work.  I am grateful to have had the honor of working with them."

The moves will also lower the median tenure of directors to less than three years.

In April 2018, the Board elected three new female directors, moving the current representation of female Board members to almost 50 percent.
