Three months after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Buffalo Bills safety has returned to workouts with the team.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane confirmed his return at a news conference on Tuesday.
“He’s fully cleared. He’s here,” he said. “He’s in great headspace to come back and make his return.”

The Bills shared a photo of Hamlin on social media on Tuesday, writing, “Glad to have you back, 3.”
Beane said that since Hamlin returned to Buffalo following his stint in the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, he has been seen by multiple specialists. They are “all in agreement” that he is OK to return to the field, Beane said.

“It’s not two-to-one, or three-to-one, or anything like that. They’re all in lockstep of what this was and that he is cleared (to) resume full activities just like anyone else who is coming back from an injury,” he said.
Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest during the first quarter of the Bills-Bengals match at Paycor Stadium on Jan. 2 and collapsed. He was given CPR on the field before he was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. He was transferred to a Buffalo hospital about a week later and discharged a short while later.
