MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. — A toddler is recovering from a gunshot wound following a shooting in a Maryland home, authorities said.
According to WTTG and WRC, the incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday at a home on Brassie Place in Montgomery Village, a suburb of Washington, D.C. A mother rushed her 2-year-old son to a hospital after he suffered a gunshot wound to the foot, WRC reported.
Montgomery County emergency responders later took the child to a different hospital for treatment of the injury, which was not considered life-threatening, authorities said. His condition remains stable, officials said.
Montgomery County police continue to investigate and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, WTTG reported.
