"We're considering everything from the child just walking away ... all the way up to and including foul play," Hampton police Chief Terry Sult told reporters Monday afternoon.

According to WAVY-TV, Noah Tomlin's mother told police that she last saw her 2-year-old son about 1 a.m. Monday when she put him to bed at their Atlantic Avenue home. About 10 hours later, she called police to report him missing, authorities said.

Hampton police said they are using "all available resources" to try to find Noah and have asked state and federal authorities for assistance.

Noah's mother is "working with our detectives at this point and trying to find a safe resolution to this, as well," Sult added.

Noah was wearing a diaper and a white-and-green pajama shirt when he was last seen, police said.

Anyone with information about Noah's disappearance should call Hampton police at 757-727-6111.
