EPHRATA TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man told police he crashed into a utility pole in Pennsylvania on Friday afternoon because he thought he saw a spider in his lap, police in Ephrata Township said.
The man, who was not identified, told officers he panicked when he thought he caught sight of the arachnid around 2:30 p.m. on E. Burkholder Drive, north of Lincoln Road, he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed.
He was not injured, police said. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
