Arizona man chased wife down street with gun, caused lockdowns at schools, police say

CHANDLER, Ariz. — An Arizona man is accused of chasing his wife down a city street armed with a gun Thursday, causing temporary lockdowns at several area schools, authorities said.

Robert Hise, 54, of Chandler, is facing multiple charges after the afternoon incident in Chandler, KNXV reported.

According to police, a woman called 911 around 12:30 p.m., claiming her husband was chasing her down the street with a gun, the television station reported.

Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School and Kyrene de la Paloma Elementary School were placed on lockdown around 1:45 p.m. while police searched for Hise, KTVK reported.

The lockdown was lifted around 3:30 p.m. and police found Hise around 7 p.m., KNXV reported.

The woman was not harmed, according to KTVK.
