After months of chemotherapy and treatment for breast and lymph node cancer, actress Shannen Doherty announced this week that her chemotherapy is almost over.
Doherty walked the red carpet at a Stand Up For Cancer benefit on Friday.
"Cancer has, in a strange way, done some amazing things for me," Doherty told "Entertainment Tonight." "It’s allowed me to be more me, like much more in touch with who I am, and much more vulnerable and the person that I always was, but I think it got hidden behind a lot of other stuff."
Her physician, Dr. Lawrence Piro, said there are just a few weeks left of chemo.
“We have just a few more weeks of treatment, and then we’ll be nearly finished with the chemotherapy,” he said.
After the event, Doherty took to Instagram to speak about her fight.
