GILMANTON, N.H. — A woman found two young children wandering alone and carrying drug paraphernalia near Sawyer Lake Wednesday morning, according to Gilmanton Police.
The police department said the 2-year-old and 3-year-old were found walking along a street; one wearing only a diaper, the other wearing a diaper, a dress and shoes.
Police say one of the children was carrying a glass drug pipe and a lighter.
The children couldn't tell police where they lived or what their last name was, but officers found the mother asleep inside a home later that day.
According to police, the children were unharmed and and investigation is underway.
